RIVERSIDE CRICKET CLUB $5,000 DRAW DAY – SUNDAY 4TH MARCH, 2018

One of the biggest days on the calendar is upon us yet again! The Annual Riverside Cricket Club $5,000 Draw Day. It is always a great one to bring the kids to, come down and have a laugh and a drink but most important – go into the draw to win $5,000!

This year we have two very special guests joining us, both from the world of football.

Our first guest will be none other than Michael Malthouse. Recruited from North Ballarat, Mick Malthouse played 174 games of VFL/AFL football for St Kilda and Richmond, where he lined up in the back pocket in the Tigers 1980 premiership winning side. Mick then went on to coach a league record 718 games of AFL/VFL football at Footscray, West Coast, Collingwood and Carlton where he won premierships with the Eagles (1992, 1994) and Collingwood (2010). More recently Mick has released an autobiography, appeared on the radio calling AFL games and been the coach on The Recruit.

For anyone that knows, dates, parents, works with, lives with or is a suburban footballer, you will be able to relate to our second guest Tom Siegert, better known as The Suburban Footballer (www.facebook.com/thesuburbanfootballer). The Suburban Footballer has been around the traps long enough to know what it’s like to be told you’ve been dropped to the Reserves and how to deliver the best sledges while sitting behind the goals watching the seniors play.
